Default Anybody have the EVO manual sway bar release?

So my rubi sway bar motor went out and I'm thinking about replacing it with the seemingly more dependable manual evo version. I'm curious how people like it.

Does it use the housing and gears for the e-disco or does it come with a new housing and set up? What all does installation involve?

Any input is appreciated

its a 10 minute install. Remove the end cap from the E disco (3 bolts)and install the manual disconnect. Its really simple.

So is it official?

It's toast?

I just figured that we somehow got something out of phase when we pulled the bent link a few weeks ago. I can't understand how that could have damaged it.

Hey btw, I'll be doing brake lines in a few hours... you want to swing up & help? I hear you're the man at bleeding brakes

That's awesome!! I didn't even know that existed! I like the simplicity of my E-disco but despise the reliability of electronics. This is definitely going on my list!!!! Thanks, fellas!!

Yep motor was shot, don't know how but she was done.

Just got back from the dealership and they replaced the entire sway bar assembly top to bottom. Thank God for warranties

OK, so fixed for now... good to hear, but I wonder what did it in? T'ain't like we're doing water crossings around here lately

I've got a pedal pusher coming over this afternoon, slapping your links on & doing brakes, stoked to have some more flex... WITHOUT snapping a brake line!

Get it. You'll love it. Installation is a breeze especially if you already have the rubicon swaybar. I purchased mine second hand to replace my "x" swaybar. It's a vast improvement over dealing with disconnecting end links imo.

Yep good to go now. I told the tech how I bent the link and he said I may have just stressed it enough that the electrical pieces broke. He didn't check it, he said he just pulled it all out and threw the new one on. So I'll never know, but he did say there was no water in it which I know will kill it.

Haha yeah those brake lines are important at times....

I would use it until it breaks again. I personally love pushing a button to disconnect
