Default Jet Stage 1

I just finished a restomod on my 1968 Corvette so it was a very mechanical and low tech process to squeeze more HP out of my small block Chevy (rebore, Cams, rollers, rockers, headers, etc). For me to get more HP out of my 08 JKUS, all it needs is a module like this?
Jet Performance 90710 - JET Performance Stage 1 Module for 07-08 Jeep® Wrangler & Wrangler Unlimited JK with 3.8L V-6 Gasoline Engine - Quadratec

What are other options available to me - short of dropping a Hemi in there? This high tech stuff is cool.

For those of you that have installed the module or chip, what were your results? Do I also need/want to also go with the throttle body spacer? Are there other modules I can use that offers more HP and MPG gain than the stage 1 on my stock 3.8 I should consider?

Any and all helpful advice is appreciated!

I just received my Highrock bumper and other goodies to continue my build over the holidays.

Thanks!

I would blow right past the jet deal and go for either superchips, hypertech, trinity etc...

As far as I have experienced jet is poor for thr money and offers little gain if any.

Thanks for the additional performance references. I will investigate further.

Ultimate for the 3.8 would be RIPP Super Charger and headers, along with a gear change...

How much are you willing to spend? There is also the forced induction way to go. Such as sprintex supercharger, magnuson supercharger, ripp supercharger, prodigy performance turbo, and avenger supercharger. All cost less then a hemi and give great power and torque!

Awesome advice - thanks for the options presented. I know the same question is asked for muscle car performance. How much HP do you want - is based on how much $ are you willing to spend. At least now I have direction to explore how I can do the same for the Jeep

What happened to cams? I think the dohc would be perfect for a real build...

Guess in a few years I'll explore the option.

Forced induction is the only way to get a substantial increase in performance from these motors. Chips, cai's, and exhaust will give minimal gains, and throttle body spacers do absolutely nothing

However a cam (if available) would give pretty noticeable gains at a price point under a grand... so who makes em?!

Not without other mods. By the time you invested all the money to do this, you could have a supercharger or turbo and a much more reliable motor
