Default freedom top won't stop leaking and whistling!

So, I have had an issue with tbe wind howling and rain leaking from the seal where my freedom top meets the windshield on the passenger side. This has become ultra annoying as it has been happening for thousands of miles already. I've taken it to the dealer under warranty, so far, they have replaced the seals on the hard top and windsheild frame. They also tried to put rivets on the outter edge of the windshield seals where they meet the door seals. Nothing hss worked and now the dealer wants me to bring in the car and leave it with them for up to a few days and aren't wiling to give me a rental or loaner car for the time being. Can't go without my jeep, being that I'm a student and work fulltime.

Has anyone had this issue and what have they done to circumvent the leaking and wind howling? I'm tired of it and seems to be my only issue with my jeep at this time.

I've had the same problem with my 12 JKU. So far the "leak specialist" has looked at it and they have replaced the seals. I really don't care that water comes in other than the fact it gets all over the head unit and other electrical stuff on the dash. It's going in for the 3rd time now this coming up week. Kinda starting to get old, especially when it's your only vehicle.

I guess the biggest issue I have is in the winter. When it rains or snows, then it freezes. Then it thaws out, then it freezes again and thaws out and freezes again. But the water never dries up. Ends up causing odor and I have to drive around with the heater blasting at my feet with the windows down and carpet pulled up on passenger side to get it to dry. Also, I don't know if the water funnels behind the dash at all. It seems it runs along the door sill and then streams out along the bottom by the floor board. Its just something you don't wanna deal with. I bought the hardtop for a reason. I don't want water on the inside of the jeep when I don't want it there. Haha

So my 12 wrangler has the same damn problem!! Pisses the damnit out of me! I actually got a a new car after my 11 model jk had the same leaky issue. I had my 11 fixed at the dealer 3 times and after the 3rd failed attempt i threatened lemon law and raised hell... they gave me a new car. So now the 12 is actually leaking throughout the entire top where there is stitching. They replaced the top but it is still leaking where the door and windshield meet the top(soft top).
You know i think it boils down to this foam piece that seems to get saturated when it rains and drips in onto the inside of the door handle them splashes onto the seats. The door seals just dont seem to be very effective in keeping the water out. Some of the 13 do have a new material on the soft tops i saw on the lot. Best bet, hound the dealership and dont let up till they fix it.

There have been several threads on this exact problem and I was involved in most of them.. My '12 leaked from day one. Bad enough that my front panels would fill up with water and slosh around. I am happy to say that it has been completely fixed for 3000 miles. The fix was new freedom panels with the new seal on it. I do get wind noise, but no water. It's a Jeep so the wind noise is acceptable to me, since I usually ride door free. Tell the dealer you will not settle for anything less than the new seals...

That's the key... theyve already replaced the seals. They placed rivets in the seals too to keep them secured in certain spots. Then they used some sort of sealant which dried hard as a rock and had to use some sort of chemicals to remove cause it made the leak into a river. Its just nonsense... I didn't make a huge deal about it till now and am at the point where I'd rather fix it myself although I really shouldn't have to. The dealer will avoid fixing anything if they see a way around it.

Look here this is what works for me. Run a bead of this silicone under your top. Where the tape outline is in the picture. This WILL cure your water leak. It works..

Could you take it to a different dealer that can give you a loaner? Maybe they could actually fix it.
