Lowering a 5" lift a couple of inches

I have a Trailmaster 5" lift kit on my 2009 Unlimited Rubicon. It was on the Jeep when I bought it. I would have preferred about a 3" to 3.5" lift. Will the parts of the kits work with shorter springs? Or will I need to replace other parts?
