Default 37" Tires

Let's try this again because it seems no one is having stock steer issues with 37's.Those running 37's what issues are you having and what did you do to solve it.

Is this because there's not enough pressure to the steer gear to move the tires.Other options, high pressure pump?Any upgrades to the steer gear itself, brace, supports

Bracing the sector shaft was one of the best things I did for the steering. Hopefully, I wont need the PSC hydro assist when I go 37s

If you get in tight areas, you most likely will.I'm just looking for some good input on weather i can get away with a high volume pump or just go with the ram kit.I saw this brace too, nice set up

I run heavy 37 toyos and have no problems on road. It steers very easy on road. Its fine on the trail until a tire gets jammed up. If your fully flexed and coming off a ledge and all the weight is on one tire then it can be a real problem. I just rock it a bit and it seems to work well.

I installed a 4" lift at 20k and drove it around for about 5k miles with no problems; however as soon as I added 37s I would get wobble after hitting a significant bump in the road. Had to stop the vehicle to get it to stop shaking. So, I loosened all the hardware and noticed some play in the mounting locations. I upgraded all the hardware and re-torqued everything with the vehicle on the ground, baring the full weight of the Jeep. That fixed everything, until the ball joints went at 30k.

Basically what happens during off roading, like crawling over rocks the steering become tight or hard to steer just like with the front locker engaged. Some threads had mentioned that the pump either failed or failed to produce enough pressure at low speeds. We are sitting on 6" of lift, have high steer upgrades with new ball joints,so everything is good and tight

I ran with 35s for a year with no stabilizer and no problems what so ever. Installed 37s and had slight wobble after hitting decent sized pot holes or bumps. I installed a Fox stabilizer and that took care of it 100%. With the Fox SS it pulls to the left though. I live with it though. I also have a complaint of hard steering while offroad. At certain angles it's very hard or impossible to turn, so I just try to move forward or back up a little and turn. Hydro assist is in my future.

When I bought my 09 JKUR about 6 months ago, I went strait to 37" tires from the stockers. I have had a slight shimmy at about 45-50mph every since. It is not DW and it doesn't get worse by hitting bumps in the road. I have not thrown any money at my stock steering yet bc most people say it's more than likely coming from caster, ball joints, and axles not centered under the jeep. I have all new control arms, springs, shocks, trac bars, bump stops, ball joints, c gussets, and sleeves coming in the mail right now(not bc of shimmy). I hope once I install my new parts the shimmy will be gone? If not I'll start to address the stock steering. From what I've read on most forums it's not the stock steering causing the problems with bigger tires, but a lack in adjustments of the right parts. I've been told my shimmy is from running a 3" lift with no adj arms or TB's, and the stock BJ's wearing so fast with a bigger heavier tire. We'll see i guess?
