Default Exhaust protection potential issue

I have a Flowmaster exhaust, the pipe hangs lower than the cross member and I think it is room for a potential problem, I did not noticed it at first, any suggestions?

Is there anyway you could ( or an an exhaust shop) shorten the downturn pipe? I could see that becoming a major problem in the future, just my 2 cents but I'm new to this game

Maybe a different exhaust is in order? Why would they even design it this way?

Seems like a poor design... Maybe a new crossmember? It might be cheaper than a new exhaust... Maybe EVOs?
