Default Someone please tell me its possible

So i did the search thing and got alot of different opinions and views that just made me even more unsure, haha

Im for sure getting the 2.5"BB and i was looking at 33" tires.
Problem is the more i think about it the more i want the 35"s...

I know i can run it with the 2.5" lift, but the money i can put
into this is very limited, so i would not be able to re-gear or do
any other mods other than the lift for a little while (i have a stock X right now)

I was just wondering if anyone is running the 35"s without other mods
and if its working out fine, or if i should stay safe and do the 33"s which i would
be also very happy with

(yes, i do alot of off-roading, and yes, its also my daily driver)

Any advice would be much appreciated

If you're running 4:10 gears right now via the tow package on an 07 then the 35s will be fine, if you're running the 3:73 gears via tow package on an 08 or upgaded gears you might be able to pull it off but FORGET about overdrive or 6th gear if you have the stick. If you have teh 3:21 gears, just forget about 35s unless you know you'll be able to do the gears within a few months, just forget about it. If you're going to have to wait a long time to do the gears, your tranny/clutch will suffer trying to get those big meats turning. On top of that, it will be such a dog you'll likely hate driving it. Good luck

I would think you will rub if you articulate to any extreme.
I don't know for sure though.

I have 35s with 2.5 BB, but added 1" body lift(which from MORE is about $130 if necessary)
I have my stock 4.10 gears and it is fine, but will be regearing in the spring for convienence, not that is absolutely necessary

I've got 07 4DR, TF 2.5BB and 35's(315/75/16)...4.10 gears.

Driveablity is good, better than I thought, as well as MPGs probaby still around 15mpg

Only rubs at full reverse turns...

GO FOR THE 35's if you have 4.10!

Only problem is that people stare too much!

I'm glad that the 4.10s can handle the 35" tires so well. However I wont be doing any major mods until a year or so from now.

atleast I have something to look forward to.

Thanks guys, this really helped me alot!

Unfortunatly i only have the 3.21, so the only thing
remaining is deciding to go with the 33"s, or wait
for the 35"s when i can re-gear at the same time

Thanks guys!

I am running 35's with a 2.5" BB, with 4.10 gears, and automatic transmission. It does work ok.

Let's face it, the JK is not a powerful, or speedy rig out of the box. Larger tires without a gear change definitely robs some power. That said, I just turn off OD when I start it, and it is very drivable. I do plan on re-gearing in the spring, but am glad I chose to put the 35's on first.

I've got the 3.21 six speed and I was going to try to run 34" tires on them (Toyo Open Country M/T's) because I think my JK is pretty peppy! To boot, I'm planning on doing some daily driving on them for a little bit without a suspension lift. Granted, I fully expect to find that I need to install a BB and regear (which I'm prepared to do) but like I said, I'm suprised by the pickup in my JK and want to test the waters. Unless someone tells me I'm going to kill my Jeep, I'll do it and post about how it's working out.

I've got an 07 X with 4.10s and 35s. I'm really really in need of a regear. Its pathetic on the freeway and going up hills in the mountains will make you the slowest guy in any train.
