Default Roof deflector

So, while it might not look beautiful, anyone think it is functional in any way?

(search top wind deflector)

I would be amazed if there was any percepptable difference in wind in the cabin.
If 18" of windshield ain't cutting it, I can't see how that last bit would help.
Maybe it makes it easier to find your jeep in a parkinglot with lots of other jeeps of the same color?

Well I know it won't affect with the top down, it would decrease the whistle with the top up I figure.

In my case since my service department can't figure out how to get the wind noise to stop in mine other than "rigging" up something. This might work for me. Will I buy one????? UUUUUMMMMMMMM NO

It would get rid of the wistle that most of us have on the highway. I wonder if it would be in the way when removing the hard top pannels.

i got rid of the whistle up there by rubbing rubber protectant on the seal above the windshield it took a couple of days for it to soak in but then it worked --- you don't even have to pop the top if thats a problem, just soak the visible rubber at the header above your windshield, hope it works for you as well as it did me and that shield thing is ugly and would get torn off on the first trail

Well since THE OP asked us what we THINK, I told him my thoughts.

Now as to the top on helping the whistle. I think I read some pretty tight tolerance issuses causing a whistle. Something like 0.040" on the windshield to rubber gasket?
I wonder if this thing may make noise as well even if it manages to keep the wind off of the winsheild channel.

My top does whistle a bit. The tiny seals on the corners of my soft top were removed by the dealer. Maybe they don't exist on the 08's not sure. Turning the fan on seems to reduce the whistle on my rig. It certainly makes the thrumming vibrating top thing go away for sure.

So... does it attach with adheasive, or screws, or chewing gum

How high above the windshield frame does it stick out? I'd love to get rid of the roof noise.
