Default 16 Year Old "New" Winch - Need Advice

So I just picked up a 16 year old Warn x8000i for an amazing price. It's lived in a storage unit for 16 years and was plugged in and tested for the first time today. This thing is in mint condition, but I'm wondering if there's anything I should disassemble and grease, etc. there's not a bit of corrosion or anything, and seeing as its sealed, I can't think of anything that would need to be regreased, etc.

Does anyone know of anything I should do before I start using it?

It came with the multi mount with steel hawse fairlead, but I'm going to mount it direct to my bumper and probably use a roller fairlead.

Do you think they need servicing because of age alone, or actual pulling?

Great to hear! So what do you think? Cover or no cover? I believe anything sized for the xd9000 fits this one...

I needed to rebuild mine the first time because of multiple submersions and the second because it sat out for about 3 years without being used or greased.

Get a cover if you have it for decoration but no need for one if you use it once a month or so
