I have seen them installed and they look great when lit. You don't really notice it otherwise. I am placing an order for mine with my Santa money here shortly.

FYI- I don't know if you are running an AEV wheel or not but is was designed around one and will not work with all aftermarket wheels from what I have read up on.

I am running black stock rims. I was curious if it would work with those and I am also curious about them being legal as a third brake light in some states. I've read threads in other forums about third brake lights needing to be "DOT" stamped or approved. Confused by this

May want to give one of the AEV vendors on here a call or shoot them a message to see on the wheel compatibility. With it being the Rubicon wheel it may work OK.
As far as being legal in your state I wouldn't know for sure?
What state are you in?
I know here in WV the only thing they require is any light on the vehicle regardless of aftermarket or oem has to work and any lights on a bar must have covers.

I live in Massachusetts. Not sure on what the law may be. I think that the light will work with the stock rubicon wheels. Anyone know about these laws?

It does work with the 2012 and earlier factory 17" wheel. I ran that combo for a couple of months.

I think the new Rubicon wheel might not work, just a guess.
