Default Need help in choosing a traction lok

Just looking for some opinions on the right part for my needs. I have a 12 . 2 door crush ordered with air / hard top and nothing else...because I wanted to have a basic jeep and add as I go. Well I ordered 3:73 and didn't get the posi rear, even though my sales order has the options listed as the above plus traction lok for $275.00...due to it be a sport vs. sport S. once delivered I complained and he explained the difference anyway I kept mine and now still want the track lok...I only want it for plowing when I do my driveway for extra traction. What your thoughts?

Thanks and Happy New Year to all!!!

Jason

Welcome to The forum. Once I ordered a Dodge 2500 RAM And it was supposed to have track lock But it didn't come with it So they gave me a choice Either I can accept it or they will put track lock for me no charge So i had them install the track lock. I would call Chrysler And see what they have to say Before I did anything else If it's in your paperwork you should have got it. Good luck

Hey, welcome to the forum. The post above is very good advise I will only add that the Jeep website shows the Trac Lock as not even available without the S package. Even at that, a good salesman would have caught it and not tried to order yours with it but now the mistake is in their court. I feel that getting it dealer installed for factory ordered price is a fair solution.

Jer

edit: Did you accept the delivery already? If so the dealer may no longer be willing to bargain.

Took delivery in April..decided to see how it would plow vs my 04, that it replaced. It seams to work OK, just was interested to see my options for aftermarket and add myself. Sorry, I was not clear on that. Plan on keeping it for next 10 years...like my old one. Didn't want the $2k up charge for wheels, power windows, door locks, leather wrapped stuff. Built the Jeep with what i wanted. So clearly...my choice, when the vehicle arrived to ask them re order.

Thanks for any advise!!
All my best...jason

Ah okay...At this point for snow use I would recommend a detroit trutrac for the rear. I would personally buy one for the front also but for your intended use the front really isnt necessary IMHO. More is better but tons of guys plow with open at both ends and they do just fine. Let us know what ya do and how ya like it.
