Default Shifting from 2wd to 4wd manually

So My 4wd lever broke, I've heard its a common thing and that I just need to replace the clip. People talk about reaching under and manually shifting into 2wd. Right now I am stuck in 4wd. I am wandering exactly how to do this so I can drive my jeep. Any help greatly appreciated! Thanksz

I had the same problem on the trail. I didn't take mine all apart from the inside. Crawl under with a pair of vice grips and look at your transfer case from underneath. You will see where it the linkage comes out of it and your cable is hanging. Lock onto the post coming out of the transfer case being careful not to burn yourself on the exhaust. Grab and pull it forward until your in the right position 2H. Make sure you have the parking brake on also. Good luck.
