Default Spidertrax with aftermarket wheels?

Is it safe to use spidertraxs with backspaced wheels. I have 17s that are 4.5 back spacing but would like a little wider stance. Is it safe to do? Any cons to using them?

Generally same considerations as a stock wheel, and would be just as safe if installed and checked properly.

You will be pushing the wheel out quite a bit with both the spacer and wheel to get a backspacing near 3". That much backspacing could have an effect on your bearings and such, wearing them out sooner.

There is no inherent danger to using the spacer versus a wheel of equivalent backspacing.
