the Jk's 61.9 stub to stub.

the TJ"s 61

If they we're the same, Axle companies such as Superior would already have them out. They are just now getting them done for the D30 760 U-joint.

On the JK rubicon it has a larger U-joint. Its like a 760 U-joint, same size cap, its just longer than the 760.

TJ is 61.5 wide so is the ZJ and XJ IVe been building them for years..........Im wondering why the change to a different U joint? better steering maybe????

I know the stub shafts have the same spline count but are different some how???

Well atleast he can use the 30 spline ARB and we can have new shafts made...

Ok, 61.5, I read two different measurement online for the TJ. I went with the one I seen the most, Either way its different.

No idea, maybe so people would have to buy Mopar and not after market?

I have a stub shaft from my D30. If you want me to measure or take some pictures. I dont know the difference.

theres also issues with using ARB lockers in the rubicon's. the stock e-locker has an offset locating pin, unlike the aftermarkets. So if you run an ARB in the JK axle shafts will binding up.

(Call superior about using the ARB on the D30. I talked to them yesterday and found out the info above)

his is not a rubi but an X so that should not be an issue. according to ARB anyway LOL.....today anyway............yep if you could take some measurements basically the stub shaft length from cotterpin hole to where it sits against the bask side of the unit bearing.

Rubicons have D44's not D30's. he is asking about D30's. the arb will work in the JK 30 but the shafts are different.

Did you not read the whole thread and see I was not just talking about the D30?

He's also asking the difference between TJ axle's and JK axles...
