Default JKU Ticking In Rear After RK Lift

Installed my RK 2.5" Max Travel Lift yesterday. After install I drove it around the block several times and it rides like a dream!! Well what's next but to flex it out of course. Here's where I ran into a problem. Every time I would flex it out the rear end would make a ticking so a bolt was loose or something was hitting. Well I pulled it back in the garage and made sure all the bolts were torqued down. Also checked for clearance issues anywhere in the rear end. Nothing found there either. Any ideas from anyone? Or is it just my paranoia of a new lift needing to be broken in?

I've heard of people rubbing the spring against the track bar.

I didn't notice any issue there but I guess I need to do some more investigating. If that is the case, any idea what would be the reason/fix?

Not entirely sure as I don't know the cause. I was reading in the rigs for sale last night and a guy had this lift on a '11 JKU and it rubbed. He has pictures. I would think adjustable control arms would fix it but it may be as simple as wedges to keep the springs from bowing out. Idk

Is it ticking all the time now? If so, check your rear driveshaft boot. You might have torn it and now the plastic is smacking against something with each revolution .

no not ticking constantly. just ticking when i put it to work. basically the only time it was doing it was when i was doing any type of flexing. on the road it doesn't do it. that's what makes me wonder if its a spring moving or just needing to be broken in or something.

sounds like you need to flex it out and look under it in the same position as when it makes the click and see what parts look like they are touching. may be the tire clicking the fender flare or something like that. my 35's touch the rear flare with my 4 in lift

I don't know that lift kit, but have seen notes with certain dif covers that they can hit track bars when flexing?

Well my next step tomorrow is retaining all the springs with clips in the front and hose clamps in the back. If it still does it after that ill have a friend watch it while I crawl around I guess

I can see that being a possibility but surely they wouldn't make a lift that would cause the track bar to hit the stock diff
