Default lift kit opinions

I have a 2013 JKUR

My wife uses it as a daily driver to take the kids to school and back, i want to run at least 35" tires without rubbing. may eventually go to 37s but im not sure yet, my wife loves the factory wheels. im not sure if i can do a lift and tires all at the same time, i have been really looking at the rock krawler 2.5" lifts i know getting front adjustable controls is a smart thing to do. but my main issue is i am trying to avoid too much down time, kinda want something that i can bolt on. i also want to retain as much of the stock feel of driving it for my wife. any and all suggestions or opinions are greatly appreciated...my budget will be kinda limited hopefully able to use my tax return for this. but if i need to save a bit longer than i can do that as well. i just like the factory flares for now and my wife loves the stock wheels. i know if we upgrade the tires then i will have to use spacers..what are your experiences with those?

I'm running RK 2.5" Max travel with Bilstein 5100 and it rides better than stock. I installed it in a day in my garage. I'm using Spidertrax spacers.

Spidertrax spacers work. I have about 10,000 miles on mine without issue.

Most basic lifts aren't too bad. I installed my TF 1.5" kit in about three hours. Also you don't have to add the control arms the same day you add the springs. You could start with the stock mod kit and add the arms later. There are a lot of lifted jeeps using stock arms.

If you decide to go stock mod I recommend getting AEV geometry correction brackets since they don't come with adjustable lower control arms. You won't be able to adjust your caster and the correction bracket will get them close to where they should be. At a 2.5" lift it may not be too big of a problem. I say install the kit and see how it drives, eventually you'd want to get the brackets or LCAs if you don't offroad the brackets should be fine. Drop brackets will lower your clearance. You can install LCA/brackets later down the line but the sooner the better.

I have been researching the same thing. When I talked to some ppl from Krawl off-road they suggested the RK 2.5 flex system. It comes with the lca's. He also suggested the fox 2.0 shocks with the kit. Also with this kit he said I could run the stock rims without spacers. I'm still debating if I want to go that high or go for something like the Rancho sport 2" with 9000s. I think I have my choices narrowed down to them two but I am only planning on running 33s for awhile as I want to keep some decent gas mileage with as much as we drive a year.
