Default Dana30 vs Dana44 Steering Knuckles

This is probably a stupid question, but I have to ask... I have found a place that builds Dana44 front axles specifically for the JK. They come with Superior axles and the locker (Auburn, Detroit, ARB, Ox) of your choice. Now I've been thinking of the Mopar Performance replacement with the ELocker, but by the time I put Superiors in it I'm at about the same price. Now here's the catch. The other one only comes main housing with you putting on your old outers -knuckles, rotors etc... Is there any chance those parts, the knuckles etc... are the same on both the Dana 30 and the Dana 44?

Man, you're getting my hopes up here. This is not to be disrespectful, but I'm needing to be real sure before shelling out the $$$$. How are you so certain?

Everything I've seen says they are the same too. But, why take our word for it. Ask your axle builder. If they don't know, that would be a good enough reason for me to find another axle builder

I know this sounds stupid, but it's a time zone thing. I go to work before they open and don't get home until after they close. For some reason my boss hates me to use work time talking on the phone about my Jeep. Go figured.

I also like to have as much information as possible from other sources before I take a day off to talk with them in case they're just telling me what I want to hear to make a sale.

The reason they want you to use your stock outters is because your ESP sensor is in the unit bearing.

If worse comes to worse. I'll have the new Unit bearings from my 44 I'll give you a hell of a deal on.

They are the same, we've swapped several Rubicon D44's into "X" models (D30) and everything interchanges.

Default Xtreme 4x4 did this to an 07 X Unlimited front axle

On my xbox live I have the two 2007 epsidoes from Spike TV's Xtreme 4x4 where they did this to a JK.

It is that same Red JK you see at the top of the 'JK' page on Quadratec
