Lift / Suspension / Tires combination recommendations
I'm a new Jeep owner, 2013 Unlimited Sahara, and I'm trying to decide what lift/suspension/tires combo to go with. I need something that will perform good off-road, and also provide a good ride on the highway. This is my daily driver, and my wife will kill me if I make the ride worse by modifying the Jeep. I know it's a Jeep, and shouldn't be expected to have a Cadillac ride quality, but I had to convince my wife that the ride wasn't as rough and loud as they have been known to be in the past. Otherwise, I'd still be driving the damn Hyundai Sonata. I can't take the woman's constant bickering about the Jeep if I make it unpleasant for her to ride in. So do you guys have any recommendations? $ isn't really an issue. I'm looking for great off-road performance and great highway ride. I'm thinking about a 3" lift, and 35" tires.
Thanks,
Thanks,

My advice to you, is read! Spend some time looking around the forum before you decide on anything. You realize the question you asked has 1000 possible answers. Most people will chime in with what they're running and say it's awesome. Figure out what kind of off-roading you are going to do and what your budget is. It's good you already have it narrowed down to 3" and 35s. Read through the modified section to get an idea of the lifts out there, the pros and cons of each and do the same for tires. Get it narrowed down to a couple choice then ask any questions. Do it right the first time and save money in the long run. Here's the link to the FAQs if you haven't read through them yet. Lots of good info in there to get you started.

Hey I was jn your same exact boat a year ago. I have a 2012 jeep wrangler Sahara 2 dr. I did reSearch out the ace and the one that best fit my needs was exactly what I have now. I am running a Fabtech 3" lift on kumo venture mt 34 inch just shy of 35s on 17s instead of the 18s the jeep came with. I found it to be cheaper to drop a wheel size and get wheels and tires for the price I would have spent on tires for the 18s. The tires are great on highway and just as good for your occasional trail riding and fun weekends with friends in the woods. Keep in mind when you do the lift and the tires you have to get the mod chip for your jeep. I still haven't and my speedo is off by 5mph. Highway is luggish going up hill and I live in jersey and there really isn't much uphill on the parkway but the slightest uphill and it's lagging unless I drop it back into 5th gear. A good thing to keep in mind is if money isn't an issue and you can spend it changing your gear ratio to counter the luggish feeling going uphill on the highway. I plan on doing 4.88 but I don't care about my top end speed as Long as I can do 65 I'm ok with it. But the guy before me was right do your own research and see what the kits come with. Some come with a pitman arm and some don't not every kit is the same for the lift. I found out after doing my research Fabtech was my final choice and I love my lift and tires. Everyone will have there opinions but you need to be comfortable with yours and know what your buying before you buy it.
I know everyone is going to have an opinion on this, but the nitto trail grappler is a really nice, aggressive looking off road tire. Its also becoming famous for its quiet ride on road. Might help keep the wife quiet too.
