Default Rock Krawler 5.5 in. TF 6 in. DD ?

Anyone using the Rock Krawler 5.5 in. or Teraflex 6in. lift kit as a dd ? If so does your Jeep still ride smooth on road or do you get thrown around with every bump. I had a lifted TJ as my last Jeep and my wife didn't enjoy the ride too much. This time around I want something great off-road but still comfortable for long trips. I'm aware many people think a lift this high is over kill but it's what I personally like and I no the mods required to make it work. Thanks...

I've got the teraflex 6. Get it. Don't go rock Krawler. Seems not as good to me. It's real smooth and the king shocks help .

Rock Krawler is the way to go... ive had their lifts on many jeeps.. including the 5.5 long arm and i loved it .. rode awesome on and off road.. what size tires are you thinking of going with ? their 3.5 long arm kit is also really nice if you are gonna run a 37" or smaller tire.. plus they have have awesome customer service ..

We offer a ton of 5.5" lifts for your application. Personally, we would recommend sticking with the long arm versions! What will be your intended usage for your JK? We guarentee you will not be disappointed with the ride quality and handling!

I'm probably going to start with 37's. I know in the future I'll most likely go bigger so I figured I would get the correct lift now as oppose to upgrading later. My Jeep has no bumpers, winch or armor yet. What kind of actual lift would I get out say the RK 5.5 and TF 6 kits ? Roof height measurements would be awesome as I may have to use a parking garage occasionally for work . That picture of the blue JK with the 5.5 is part of the reason I considered the RK 5.5. Looks amazing... Thank you everyone for the helpful replies. Most of the guys on the Jeep Forum just wanted to act like I was making a mistake considering lifts this big and had no positive things to say.

Only input I could give on this is that if you want the big look as far as a 5.5/6" lift then do it. Don't let people talk you out of it cuz you will regret it. I did 4" and am very happy with it and can't wait to upgrade to long arms. (Money was tight or I would of just started off with it). Good luck!
