Default 275/65/18

Are spacers required if I install 275/65/18 tires on my stock Sahara wheels?
I seen a post where somebody used 1.25" spacers with said tires.

Has anybody tried using this size tire w/o spacers? Any pics?

(Yes, I did use the search button)

Thanks

The 275/65/18 is close to the stock 255/70/18 overall diameter thus it will not affect the speedo, which is why I want to go to that size.

I just want to know if I will need spacers, (on the stock suspension), because of the difference in width.

Default Getting ready to find out I think...

I am in the market to do the same thing...Looking at 275/65/18 Duratracks on the stock Sahara wheel. I don't feel like spending the extra money on wheels at the moment, plus the 18's look pretty nice anyway...just trying to find a more aggressive tread is a problem. Based on the stats of the stock 255/70/18 vs. the 275/65/18 they are identical diameters and only about 3/4 of an inch wider which will only push the tire 3/8" closer to the inside. I have heard they do will not rub, and honestly looking at mine at full lock now, I don't think there is anyway they would.

My desired option would be to lift and do 305's or 315's but unfortunately I live in Virginia and the lift laws are horrible...interpretation of the goes two ways (22" bumper limit or 28" bumper limit) and in some situations they enforce the 22" amount...Booo! https://www.jk-forum.com/forums/images/smilies/mad.png

I will post photos and info if I get mine, and you still haven't moved forward...

Actually, I now see your profile that you have gone with 285/65/18's and a 1.75" lift...Was there a reason? Did you try the 275's and get rub?

thanks
