I like the way my stock sahara shocks ride, I upgrading to a 3" spring lift from my current setup and at the same time I installing the evo rockstars which raise the rear shocks 2" so I'm thinking that the rear stock shocks should be a good match. I have not decided on the front yet...any ideas for a good match to the stock sahara shocks in front made for a 3" lift? BTW I have a new front driveshaft to install so drop should not be an issue.

youre putting on a new drive shaft and your running stock rear shocks with adapters while adding new manufacturers shocks to the front of your jeep and you think its going to ride good?

I haven't ridden in a stock Sahara. Are the shocks softer than the Bilsteins that come on Rubicons?

Also, what tire size are you going to run, and will you run stock or flat flares?

Lol owned. Ok OP. After you put on new coils and go up 3" your ride will never be like stock. Even if you keep your stock shocks and raise your jeep 3". Ride geometry will aftermarket. So, to recommend you new shocks, I'd put on bilisteins 5100s as they are a good quality shock for their price tag.

 

You probably could do it with some sort of shock extensions. Personally, I wouldn't do it. If you are worried about your ride not being up to par then go with an adjustable shock like the rancho RS9000 and you can tweak/dial in the softness or firmness of your ride. I have seen full sets of 4 at around $350. That would be very much worth it, rather than trying to make stock shocks fit.

 

I currently run 1.75/.75 coil spacers 1.25 body lift and 35x12.5 Nitto trail grapplers and not changing the tires. as far as ride now I'm happy. New lift is a full traction 3" coils new longer fixed lowers adj upper front arms, adj front Trackbar rear Trackbar bracket. Going to run rear rock star skids which cuts off the stock shock mount and raises it flush with the control arms and ads a skid.
