Default 34'' on stock carrier

Hey guys I searched and couldnt find what I wanted so here it goes! My 5 305/70/17 and XD addicts will be in tomorrow. Im putting a 2.5 Budget Boost in and was wondering if that size tire will mount to the stock carrier? Being a 4.75'' backspacing. Will i need a spacer? I plan on putting an aftermarket bumper and carrier eventually but cant afford it at this time.. Thanks! oh its a '12 jku

Should be ok without a spacer, I ran the same size tire on a stock rim using a 1.5" wheel spacer ( this would equal about the same back spacing as your aftermarket rim) and it fit fine. I am now running a larger 35x12.5r17 on a dc rim on the stock carrier with a slight rub on the bumper no spacer used.

What about the third break light did the tire size effect that? Did you have to disconnect it or get a extension or longer one what ever they call it?

I used a 1" wheel spacer. Got it about 1/4 inch off rear bumper and third brake light is fully visible. Add Daystar extended bumpstops, fits perfect.

been running my 34 mtr on the stock carrier for 4 years strong. no issues at all, and no sag in the tailgate either.

Careful, u might break your tailgate, took 6 weeks for 5 welds to break on my tailgate. Ordered a ace rear bumper with carrier and was told 6-8 weeks to make, so I put my 315 on and 6 weeks later started hearing rattling then saw the damage. Might not of happened if my bumper showed up on time instead of 4 months later.

I've had my 35/12.50-17 MTR on the stock carrier no spacer just Daystar bump stops and have had no prob. Been there 1.5 years break light and tailgate ate fine.
