Default How to sell the wife on why you need a new lift and bumpers

Last night I'm taking my son to Monster Truck Jam I'm Phoenix and it's raining. Yes raining in Phoenix, rare but it happens. We are 3 blocks from the stadium in stop and go traffic, at a complete stop when some college kid talking on his cell phone rear ends me doing about 15 miles an hour. His front end is wiped as being lifted his hood and bumper catch the hitch and bottom of my Body Armor after market bumpers. The paint wasn't even scratched on my bumper and zero damage to my 2011 JKU. I call the wife and tell her and she asks how I could possibly have no damage and seize the opening and explain that the lift raised the vehicle high enough he only caught the very bottom of my bumper and the solid steel after market bumpers took all the impact. She says "Wow guess they were worth the money then"
So remember when your wife asks why you need the lift, new bumpers, rock sliders etc, it's for accident protection LMAO. Here are two pictures of the other guy's vehicle.

Haha... Sounds like she is primed for you to get some more mods!!

My wife is good with mods as long as I don't go crazy all at once.

Haha that's funny, I've used the same sales pitch to my wife. But maybe he should stick with him only using his Honda to cut grass

Being a college student I get the pleasure of dealing with alot of idiots driving on campus. My jeep has been rear ended 3 times in 3 years. Every time the car that hit me has looked similar to the photos shared. Smashed hood, broken grill, busted radiator and I have yet to have a scratch be left. The cops know my jeep pretty good at southern Illinois university of Edwardsville. Got to love body armor!

I'm glad y'all were ok in the crash. I'm chomping at the bit to start working on our Rubicon.

All it took for my wife was one trip to a Teraflex Meet n' Greet where she saw everyone else's rigs compared to mine and was "shamed."

If you need to sell the wife on getting a winch, just tell her its used to hook up to other jeeps on the highway and save on gas
