Default Getting Rear Ended= New Exhaust

The JK got rear ended a few days ago by an expedition going 30 coming off the interstate. The hitch receiver got bent down which twisted the rear crossmember down and a plastic part of the spare wheel got cracked. So, when I was driving it to the dealer, there was a sound coming from under the rear. At first I thought it was a tire rubbing on some bent piece of metal that I hadn't seen, but turns out it was the rear of the receiver hitch that had just barely bent
far enough to poke a tiny hole in the muffler. The dealer said I need a new exhaust so I figure this would be a good chance to get an aftermarket exhaust.

So I was wondering what are some of the best exhausts? I've heard good things about MBRP and right mow Im looking at their model with the muffler before the axle and it dumps right after the axle under the jeep. Are there any advantages to an exhaust that dumps right under the bumper as opposed to completely under the JK?

MBRP makes a nice product. We are going to put that exact muffler on our JK.

Keep in mind that you do need to have a heat shield between the muffler and the EVAP canister.

The only real reason you would want to install an exhaust that goes all the way to the bumper is to reduce the heat from being under the vehicle.

Thanks for the info, I assume the PSC Evap Skid would be more than enough to serve as a heat shield?

MBRP makes it.

Let us know if you would like a quote on that muffler and heat shield.
