Default Leveling my JKU Altitude

I called a couple 4x4 companies here in Fort Myers, Florida. Each of the shops had a different opinion about the leveling kit for my OllllO. I personally, am leaning toward the Teraflex 1.5" performance leveling kit (coil springs). None of the shops I called, quoted to install this kit in their leveling estimate. They ALL told me that wheel spacers after the lift were NOT required if I continue running my stock 18" rims and stock tires (255/70R18). My question; is Teraflex not a good leveling kit, and are the wheel spacers (spidertrax 1.5) not required?

TeraFlex is a terrific company, and you're spot on with looking at the Performance 1.5" Leveling Kit. It's a great kit and will hold an aftermarket bumper and winch combo much better compared to stock springs (when you decide to add on down the road). Spacers may not be needed for daily driving, but you will rub at full turn or once you start flexing off road. Spidertrax 1.5" spacers would work perfectly with the TF kit.

Now that your ready to start the madness of upgrading, what are your long term plans for offloading? What type of trails will you see in the future? Think beyond just the next set of tires. Going with just a leveling kit, you're limited to a 33" tire. With a 2.5" lift you can fit 33" or 35" tires. This will all depend on what you want to do long term.

If your long term plan is to always use 33" tires, than the TF leveling kit will work with stock wheels but I'd recommend using Spidertrax or similar 1.5" spacers with those rims. You want clearance between the wheel and the rear sway bar. Two benefits with spacers: stability in turns from a wider track & stance makes the rig look better.

Most shops carry "big brand" daystar. , rough country, ready lift because those are regulars that the big distributors carry , Teraflex is a great company but are a speciality company, I am personally leaning towards rock krawler
