Question teraflex and tire size fit question on 2008 X unlimited

Just wondering if anyone has installed 285/70/17's on stock 17 inch rims with a 2.5" teraflex on a 2008 X unlimited. If anyone has is there any rubbing issues? The tires are only 11.2" wide. I am hoping that would work.

I don't have this set up so I can't be of much assistance, but have you tried the search feature, I'm sure this horse has been beat to death many times over by now.

I ran 285/75/16 and had minor rubbing at full lock....that could be fixed with a washer or 2...

Question

Are you talking about a washer or two to limit the amount of turning?

Talking

You asked about a 285/ 70 / 17...he's got a 285 / 75 /17 .....a larger tire.

The 255/75/17 (Stock) and the 285/70/17 are within a fraction of an inch from each other in diameter and section width protrusion...essentially, you're asking if a stock-ish sized tire that would fit with no lift at all, would also fit with a 2.5" lift?

The answer would be YES.
