Default Thinking of cutting my stock finders into flat ones.

I'm thinking of taking the plunge and cutting my flares, but I recently bought painted ones to match my jeep didn't know if anyone has pictures of their flares cut! Interested in painted flares!

Thanks.

Yeah it would look good. Make sure to get some weatherstripping to cover the cut edges

It's really pretty easy but my advice is to take your time so it comes out looking good. Here's a write up I did a while back along with ones from Sahara owners (painted). Good luck and post up your pics when you get er done!

I was nervous too when I was thinking about it. Just had to get out there and make one 2" slice in the front and then there was no turning back. Depending on how narrow you want to go you can leave the flares on the body. There is a good video on YouTube. And of course with the write ups on the forum you should be able to do it no problem. Here's a picture from mine but its not a painted flare.

Also go pick up some door trim and add to the edge with a heat gun to get the glue nice and tacky.

Not the best pic.

I like how your jeep deserves the fancy rug you let it sleep on
