Default Decision on 35'" Toyo MT's or KM2's

I've been reading most of the threads I can find, I can get what i think are good prices on each but the best price would be the Toyo MT's. I have a price for 5 35" KM2's delivered for $1708.60. As for the Toyo's I can drive about a 125 miles and pick them up from a ware house and save shipping but pay sales tax. I have a price for the 5 Toyo's of $1454.82. I haven't had either brand before. My last 35's were MT MTZ's which were great tires, wore well and balanced well with not a lot of weights. The toyo video I looked at claims the toyo balance out very well also due to how their made. Not sure about how well the KM2's balance.

I had a nightmare one time with Traxus tires. Junk in my opinion. Lots of runout, hard to balance and eventually broke a cord while on the highway with just 18K on them. Junked them and went with Pro Comp Extreme MT's and they were great tires with no issues. I can't get as good of price with the Micky Thompson's or the Pro Comps as I can the Toyo and the KM2's in my area. Wondering if the KM2's are worth the $200 difference or i should just go ahead with the Toyo's. Looking for a long wearing easy balancing tire.

I ran km2s and I love bfg in general I think they are a great company and they will go above and beyond for there customers. 1prob with them is if you buy a 35 its going to be closer to a 33 my buddy has 35-12.5-17 and it is exactly 33.6. Also the km2s don't do well in the snow I don't know if that will be a issue for you or not. I almost went the Toyo mt mount as well but I went with bfg at's and love them they last forever and are lightish. I can go anywhere my friends go with there mt's unless we are going boggin. And IMO jeeps went meant to go boggin. If you live in a swamp and need mud tires I would say go for the toyos i would take a look at some a/ts wile your looking around.

Besides being heavier, the Toyo is a superior tire IMO. And I have seen them balance with little to no weight. Amazingly round tires

either one is a great tire, so I don't think you can go wrong with them. The Toyos are a bit heavier and a bit tougher, thats as far as my knowledge goes ...

Toyos have better sidewall protection that's where the weight penalty comes from. Having said that, I really like my KM2s and will probably put another set on next. If I was back tn the Colorado mountains then no I would be looking at a mud tire with siping for snow or the BFG ATs I used when I lived there

Like what the others recommend, my vote goes for the Toyo MTs as well. When my 33" Boggers wear down that is the tire I will be choosing when I move up to 35s

Thanks guys, I think I'll go with the Toyo's. I can get them about $250.00 cheaper than the KM2's minus what ever gas it takes me to get them from up around the Chicago area. I'd say 250 miles round trip.

At 12 mpg that's $75 (CA pricing on gas) so still a good deal
