Default Rubicon tires on X or Sahara Answers needed

Alright. Who has installed the factory Rubicon tires on there X ro Sahara? What I am looking for is how much of a ride difference you have with these tires. Is it stiffer? Better? Has it affected your gas mileage? I would like to install a set on my X but I am a bit hesitant because I don't won't to ruin the ride. I have already accomplished this by installing some BFG A/T 285/70/17 with a load range D. Now the ride is stiff even with the tires aired down. Tell me your thoughts.

Hey Mark .... How things going....

Your stiff ride is only because of the "D" load range ..... Heavy Duty tire with extra steel belts and plys to it !!!

JK does not weigh enough or tow enough to need the " D" !!

Ride is just as nice as the stock Sahara 18's.

Damn I can't believe I became a junkie on a question like this. I'll blame it on the site's search(less) engine.

I run the Rubi tires on mine. Gas mileage and acceleration dropped, but I needed (er, actually just wanted) more aggressive tires. It hasn't ruined the ride.

I put Rubi Tires on both my JKs and I love the look and ride.
