Default 2.5 and 3 inch teraflex lift, on and offroad

2.5 and 3 inch teraflex lift, on and offroad: I am currently running 33 inch tires,
doing alot of high way driving, never into rock crawling, but I enjoy bumpy/hilly trails
which kit would be recommended out of the two?
which is one would be easier to install

2 door or four? If two i would go with the 2.5 you might run into driveshaft issues with the 3.

2.5 but by the sounds of what you do you could probably get away with just a leveling kit and those 33's

TF 2.5" coil is a great DD and off road lift that can fit up to a 35" tire. But, if your mainly on street and your max tire size is 33" you could just place a 1"~ 1.5" spacer on your front stock coils with proper back spaced rims and call it a day.

I have their 3" and I personally do not like it on road at all. It also sucks offroad on bumpy dirt roads. The only thing i think it is good for is rock crawling, or slow driving. It does not soak up small bumps in the road very well is the main problem. It feels too stiff, but i bought my jeep with it on there, so it will stay until i can afford to change it. This is on a JKUR, using their 9550 shocks.

If only going 33's a leveling kit might be a good option. The 2.5" lift will actually give you about 3". If you might go bigger than 33's in the future, the 2.5" is a great option because it will allow you to use 35" tires as well.

Sounds like a shock issue. They may be worn out. Try replacing the shocks, or go with a different shock.

Ditch those shocks sounds like they are done. You can get the Bilstein 5100's for a decent price and the ride is great.

Regarding harsh ride: Air pressure too high? Make sure the install was done correctly,ie: proper sway bar links. Are the 9550s leaking oil from a blown seal? Do you still have the stock plastic bumpers and zero rock rails/ sliders. 3" and above lifts assume a heavy rig. And last, what are you using as a base for comparison? It's not realistic to compare a lifted jeep ride quality to a plush Caddy land yacht.

A fair comparison would be a JK vs. Jeep TJ. You have to compare like chassis, apples to apples.

Impressed by all the responses! This is the first forum I've ever entered. And am new to this website, so thank you to everyone who responded!

I am still unsure however.....so If I never plan on going bigger then 33, will the 2.5 look over lifted and have bad highway performance? I went to 4 wheel parts and told them I used to have a tj with a 4 inch lift ( this jeep did awesome over bumps and curves on the trails, felt like I was on clouds) they wanted me to sell me a 2.5 procomp coil replacement kit, but ive heard better from terifelx suspensions) .....I want a suspension that will feel the same (as my tj with 4 inch lift) in my 2 door jk but still highway friendly! will a leveling kit be able to accomplish this or a full coil replacement kit?
