Default New Lift - needs adj. front track bar???

I know there are many posts about this, but I have not found one that is similar to my situation. My apologies to anyone offended...

I have a 2013 JKU Sport with 18/59 springs and Rubicon shocks. Springs and shocks are new and got them for under $50.

I am putting on a 2.5" RC Stage II BB lift as it best suits my driving (mostly on-road with few trips off-road each year). I do not want to get into why springs are better than spacers so let's stay on course. Thanks.

The kit does include a rear track bar bracket. I will also be using quick disconnect sway bar links.

Do I need or 'want' an adj. front track bar? I know it will get my axle back on center, but I do not want to cause any other issues from potential contact with other components up front. Most of what I have seen about this was on older (pre 2011) models.

Dealing with an axle about 1/4" off center may be not that bad if I am opening myself up to much more severe problems.

Anyone been through this analysis/situation on a newer JKU?

Thanks in advance for any help!

At that height of lift, it is not necessary, but I would recommend it. At any change in lift height, your front axle alignment will be off center unless you correct it with an adj trac bar. At a small lift height like that, you will be fine. 3" or over I would say its a necessity. May want to upgrade in the future to an adj trac bar if you are OCD like me.

Install the lift as is and then decide if you need it... Been running a 2.5 inch lift wo one no problem.

I can get the RC adj. front for $50 with 5k miles on it. I was going to buy it for insurance and figured I could always resell if I don't need it. I hear the quality is not all that great, but I can't imagine it is all that bad either.

Are there any issues with using an adjustable one over the stock bar I am not aware of?

Thanks!

The one thing to look out for when replacing the stock control arms and track bars is to look at the bushings of whatever you are replacing it with. I have seen RC LCA bushing go out after about 20k miles, don't know much about their track bars though.

It was definitely off center on mine and it annoyed me probably because I could tell. I put on the adjustable JKS it was $160 new. I'd definitely recommend adding one but that's just my opinion, to each there own.

I've had RC on an another rig and it's an okay product for the price but I probably wouldn't use again...

Hype/Crusher,
Thanks for the info. I think I will pick it up to have it. If I need to install I will.

As this lift is, I am anxious to wheel this setup and test it's limitations.

I am leasing the vehicle with surety I will buy it out. Regardless, I am looking to keep it functional without overbuilding for my use.
