Default difference between rubicon and non rubicon rear 44?

Getting parts together for my regear and was lucky enough to get a free ring and pinion for a rear rubicon dana 44. I was about to buy the master install kit and realized there is two listings for the rear 44, one for rubicon and another for the non rubicon. Does anyone know the difference? Maybe just the ring gear bolts? I was told from a few different people the rear rubicon ring and pinions will fit the non rubicon models also. Basically I'm trying to figure out what kit to get. i contacted a few companies with no response yet.

The rears should be the same. You will have to get a new r&p for your front too though.

Rubicon has 32 spline shafts. Straight JK D44 has 30 spline shafts. Shouldn't affect what you're doing.

True, but that does not affect the ring and pinion. Those are the same on the rubi/non-rubi rear end.

Yeah. One company got back to me. Told me to order the non Rubicon install kit. They didn't really have an explanition on the difference in the kits, although there must be something. Already have my front. I just got the rear Rubicon set for free, figured why not...if its free, its for me

The carrier bearings on a rubicon with a locker are different than the carrier bearings on a non rubi with no locker.

I did not think of that. My apologies, I was wrong.

Thank you, I appreciate the help. Now I know the difference and to make sure I'm getting the right parts.
