Default Removed Drive Shaft Question

Hey guys,

My front drive shaft finally bit the bullet... at the worst possible time, as I'm moving out of state this weekend. Without time to research, buy and install a new one, I just pulled the stock drive shaft out, and will live with 2wd until I can get settled and install an aftermarket one. My question is:

With the front drive shaft removed, do I need to cover/cap the transfer case? Or the front diff? If so, how? ... It might be a while before I can get a new one in and I don't want to have to worry about dirt/water/salt getting in and ruining anything.

Thanks in advance!

You will still have the factory flanges on both ends,. No need to worry about dirt or anything. Just unbolt and pull the shaft and your good to go!
