I am fixin to install 4.88's in my 2011 JK. If you plan on goin to bigger tires, go with the 5.13's. I plan on stayin with 35's, so I will be good. I also will be installing sleeves on my D30. I do plan on gussets in the future.

What gears and what sleeved are you going with.
I might go 37s one day but 4.88 will be fine with them wouldn't they

I am going with Yukon 4.88's, Yukon Zip lockers, and the Nitro axel sleeve, the link is below. Do you have an auto transmission or a manual?
Nitro JK 2007-12, Dana 30 44 Front Axle Sleeve Kit NGAAX-D44JK-SLEEVE

Alright iv been tryna figure out this whole re gearing thing and still don't understand how people are doing it for so cheap..I went to a local, reputable off road shop by me and they said 3500$ for a rear gear..is that front and rear? Lockers? I know labor is gunna cost some bucks but I'm just tryna get a feel for what other ppl have spent. I have 3.21's and a 6 speed and think for what I'm using the jeep for 4.56 will be fine for me since I can deal with the 3.21's. Any thing to help clear me up on this would be great!

An offroad shop in grand junction, CO charged me $1850 to regear, weld gussets and sleeve my 07 Sahara. That included G2 5.13 gears, gussets, sleeves and labor so $3500 sounds insane. The 5.13's are perfect on the auto but the only advantage to 4.88's is that the ring gear is slightly larger so it will be a little more durable.

That sounds right to me. I purchased my Yukon 4.88's, Zip lockers, rebuild kits, ARB compressor, the pillar panel for my switches and Nitro sleeves for around $2800.00. I will pay $1380.00 labor on March 14th to get it all installed, at a 4X4 specialty shop in Lafayette La. Might be a little high to some, but I know I am gettin it done right. I'll pay the extra for piece of mind!....
