Default Mounting Location for ARB Electric OBA Compressor

Anyone mounted up a new High Output ABR Electric Compressor??

I'm looking for photos of the job so that I can determine a good mounting location.

Are you trying to mount it under the hood or would inside the cab be okay?

I have my ARB compressor mounted under the hood on the passenger side of the engine next to the transmission fluid dipstick. I think it is the compact one.

You would probably not want it mounted in the cab because it has a pretty loud roar when the compressor is engaged and also when it cycles the air locker.

x2 on the pic, I mounted mine ( MF 1050 ) inside the cab but would rather have it under the hood.

I'm building a front bumper for my Jeep now and plan to mount it to the backside (in between the framerails) of the bumper. Inside is a definite no no IMO. It is LOUD when running and would be irritating for sure!
Pics to follow soon.

I have my viair mounted inside my stock front bumper. But I plan on moving it to the top of the bash bar when I finally get a real bumper. I know Ive seen someone on here mount it like that. They fabbed up a flat plate to sit on top of the bash bar and then mounted the compressor to it. I cant find the pic though. I think is was a side note on a winch thread or something

This may sound kind of crazy, but im thinking about getting some really strong earth magnets, attaching them to the compressor, and then putting them on the rear gate....the magnets are strong enough to were they wouldn't give and it would be removable, so i don't have to drill holes

I wouldn't want it outside of the jeep as i live in FL and getting it wet in the swamps would probably kill it
