Yes it will fit. Now are you still using your stock wheels?

With 4 1/2 backspacing of the Micky T's you might want to consider the adjustable mount also. Northridge 4x4 has the combo in stock at a great price. Other wise you'll either have to get creative with your tailgate bump stop or check out a Daystar extended bump stop.

I have a 37" BFG km2 on the Moab wheel with the TF hinge and stock tire carrier. No wheel spacer, no rubber bumpstops, no problem. Been running like this for 5k miles and numerous offroading trips without any rattling or shaking. since I have the stock wheel on there, the wider tire gets pressed up against the hinge a little bit and that seems to prevent the tire to bounce around or shake. The TF hinge is freaking awesome and I love how its super light but strong as hell. Thanks TERAFLEX for making and awesome product!

Hi,
Just came across this thread and it caught my attention. Like many others, the spot welds on the rear tailgate on my JK were coming apart at the top (on the inside, especially). I reinforced the tailgate with some machine screws and ended up custom fabricating a boat roller that fits into the rear hitch, so that every time I close the tailgate, the rear wheel hits the roller and rests on it, thus alleviating pressure off of the tailgate (I hope that made sense!).

Anyway, I would like to eventually remove the rear hitch and just use the tailgate carrier, but am afraid of the spot welds/thin sheet metal giving out and bending the tailgate. BTW, currently I am running 35's.

So, I was wondering if Teraflex's hinged bracket would take pressure/weight off of the spot welds on the rear tailgate, or if it just reinforces the hinges mostly? In other words, if I pull the trigger on the TF kit, will my problems with the tailgate spot welds come back or will this be an adequate fix?

All input is truly appreciated!

It will take all the tire weight off of the gate., they way it is now the weight of the tire is transferred through the sheet metal to the OEM hinge, with the TF hinged carrier the weight of the wheel is on the carrier and not on the sheet metal. It's totally what your wanting...
