Default have hard top, want soft top too: exactly how to??

i have a 2012 unlimited with paint matched dark cherry hard top(s)
i just run spiderdweb shade tops (top and cargo) 90% of the time
once in a blue moon it rains out here in the desert and putting the hard top on alone is not practical (aka its a pita and I’m usually 50 miles from home)
i want to keep the hard tops for long trips and the dead of winter but the rest of the year it would be nice to have a soft top with the jeep just incase a sand storm hits or a freak rain shower.

WHAT ALL DO I NEED TO DO/BUY TO INSTALL A SOFT TOP? (besides just buying the actual top)
-door surrounds?
-hardware?
-subframe?

i like the fast back style of soft tops

any thoughts or suggestions?
thanks y'all

Look at the Trektop NX, has all the door surrounds built in and you can go from completely covered to a safari type top. Had it come out back in 2009 I would have gotten that, but I have the Safari top by Bestop and doesn't do squat when it rains.

Here's a thread to read through: plenty of good tips, experience and pics in there...

You can run the spider shade underneath.

Soft tops can be found a dime a dozen online.
