Default Brake line brackets vs longer brake lines

Hey guys I need some opinions on extended break lines or longer brackets. I mean I can get brackets that will accommodate a 4in lift for 50 or I can just get extended lines for 130. I need some pros and cons on both.

With brackets you won't have to bleed the lines. I would rather take a beating than bleed brake lines.

That being said I went with longer SS brake lines.

Same with me. I thought about doing the brackets (much more easier) but i went with the extended lines & it was a pita to bleed.

Longer SS brake lines will be a better option. With the brake line bracket you will need to bend the hard line a little. We prefer not to bend lines to much. The SS lines in theory will increase your pedal feel. Our JK came from the factory with a little bit of a soft pedal. After the SS lines were installed we noticed the pedal firmed up a bit.

Bleeding brakes is not nearly as difficult as everyone is making it out to sound. Just make sure you have a helper with you so that they can pump the pedal while you work with the bleeders. The alternative is to order a Power Bleeder which will make brake bleeding a one person job.

Let us know if we can help you with anything.

Depending what kind of travel you have or will have, I'd for sure go with the SS lines. I started out with brackets, but the amount of travel I have, they still weren't enough to keep the brake lines from being stretched tight like a guitar string. I went with Crown lines. SS lines make your brakes feel firmer too.

I initially had brackets, bent the hard line wheeling. I had to cut the hard line and repair it. Now i have longer lines to avoid that issue again. Save yourself the trouble go extended lines to start.

I went with the crown ss extended lines and bleeding them was super easy. My wife worked the brake pedal and I opened and closed the bleeder valves and it took maybe an hour from taking the stock ones off and getting the new ones installed and bleed.

If you got the money get the SS brake lines then got to harbor frieght and get a $10 bleeder. We did that on my brothers lifted truck and it was great. The pedal was much firmer

My rear bracket pushed the hard line closer to the sway bar link and eventually was snagged and bent to an unsafe condition. Get the lines

At 4" just do it right and get the lines. Bleeding brakes with a helper is easy.
