Default Installing rear track bar

This may be a stupid question and I apologize in advance if it is. I will be putting on my new trackbar tomorrow and have this concern. The temp here has been in the teens and 20's....I don't have a garage to work in so am doing it in the driveway. Knowing that the trackbar needs to be torqued to 125ft lbs, will the cold temp be any problem on the mounts or affect the amount of torque used. I don't want to do this if I should wait till its warmer.

Thanks for the help.....

I have not heard of that before but the logic is correct. Cold temp means metal is not expanded and is contracted. When toruquing it could appear to be tighter in warmer weather once the metal warms up and contracts. I assume this is your concern?

I'm pretty sure you will be fine but I always check torquing a few days later to make sure the bolt did not loosen up when driving.

Agreed, it shouldn't be a problem but it's always a good idea to re-check your torque on bolts after running on them for a bit. Maybe 100 miles or so.
