Looking to do onboard air for this wheeling season. My head is spinning from the number of options for pumps. Will the 450C Viair with a 2.5 gallon tank be enough to do tire inflations (37 1250 17's) and possibly a small impact for minor trail repairs?

 

It should work, but look at the 400. I think you will find it is faster for inflating tires. The tank is not going to help much for airing up more than one tire. AFter that your are refilling the tank and your tire. The cost savings could go toward a cordless impact.

 

I have a tank already got it for $25 with everything but the pump. I was wondering that myself, what is the benefit of the tank?

 

A tank will allow shorts bursts with an air tool.
