Default Aev lift not lifting. What next

Long story short: installed aev spacer lift on friends jku rubi at same time as aev bumper and winch. Jeep now rides on front bumpstops all the time, Basically negating the intention of the lift. So new springs are obviously in order. He's not interested in changing shocks right now, and leaving the shock spacers and bumpstop extensions in place. Our debate is do we install OME medium duty 2.5 lift springs and leave the spacer in? Or OME heavy and take the spacer out. Conceptually we only want to change the front springs out and leave the stock rubi springs with the aev 1" spacer in the rear. Opinions welcome.

How many miles are on those shocks? If they are worn out, they could make a lot of difference.

I would call teraflex and talk to them.

He has 18s on the front. 30k miles. To be clear, the aev spacer lift is 2" lift and has 2" bumpstop extensions.

I think I understand what you are saying the stock upper bump stops are on the new aev pads. Believe it or not I stopped in AEV's R&D center in Missoula, Mt and they told me that was normal. A while back there was a similar post which prompted me to stop in and ask about it.

shocks do not really support anything it is the coils that support the weight.

looks like new springs are in order. AEV actually ended up talking me out fo the spacer kit. They did say that the stock springs did not hold up to any added weight up front. I decided to hold off until I could do a 2.5 dual sport kit.

Yep.. so hence the original post.. debating what springs to roll to bring it back up.. my gut says that the heavy duty spring without the spacer is the way to go.. but im worried about how a stock rubi rear with spacer would feel with a stiff spring and no spacer in the front

I've run 3" springs in front with 2" rear spacers ever since my front end took a dive with the addition of an aev bumper. It was perfectly level and rode well. It's now a little low in the rear since I added 160lbs worth of bumper/tire carrier.
