Running and love them. You can't really compare the two. The Ranchos are adjustable.
Rancho is running their promo again. I bought mine when the deal was $100 rebate. Then there was a buy 3 get one free deal. Should be able to grab 4 for $250.

You want the longer 4" shocks.

Why you said "You want the longer 4" shocks"? If I've a 2,5 lift kit with a shock longer I need also 2 spring-retainers on the contrary I'll loose my spring!! Should it be better the 0-2"?

What 2.5" kit are you going with? Most of these kits give more height then 2.5"
For Rk, the venders recommend 26"-27" extended shocks for their 2.5" lifts. 4"-6" I believe.

TF2.5" with, actually, shock extension and monster front track bar…

The 29's and 30's will be perfect.

OP, did you end up buying these? If so, how's the ride?

I'm about to order the 29 and 30 model for my TF 2.5" coil lift with monster track bar. I've also been using shock extenders this whole time, and it's been a little rough.

Default Just installed Rancho's 2" sport lift and 9000's

Did this a week ago and have already used the adjustment knob to soften the suspension. Can't do that w/5100's.
Looks great with 33x12.50x17's and no rubbing. Definitely get a new steering stabilizer, it made the difference on the changes.

Had a great time at Crater Lake today and on Forest Service roads on the way there.

I am so glad I bought the Rancho 9000XLs. My old ride (2.5" Teraflex coil lift with shock extenders on factory Rubicon gas shocks) was not great- potholes hurt, and there was a lot of brake dive and body roll. The Jeep wandered at highway speeds- 85 MPH was actually scary (we have an 85 MPH toll road in the Republic of Texas, hehe).

After I put these on and dialed them to "5", it feels like driving a different Jeep. I went and found all my potholes and train crossings, and they were absorbed completely. More importantly, I got on the toll road and hit 85... then 90, and no wandering whatsoever. Not that I need to go that fast, but it just feels a lot more safe now.

When I get some rock crawling done I'll report back. I love the idea that I can change the settings for rock crawling though, or for towing.
