Default Cab Covers Or Full Cover ?

What covers really work and are not a pain to put on and take off ?
I would use in the summertime so i could leave the top off. I would prefer a cab cover but which brand is best, do they leak ?
Thanks for any information

I have the Bestop trail cover from Quadratec http://www.quadratec.com/products/11186_0209_07.htm Awesome waterproof & critter proof cover if your leaving the roof and doors off. Hardest part is throwing/getting it over your 6+ foot tall rig (which would be same for a cover of any brand) but securing it is simple and well designed.

x2 on the Bestop. Extremely thick material and good design. It is waterproof with the cover on, even in a downpour.

I'm looking into covers also now, as I gotta have something until they figure out how to fix all the leaks. However, it looks as if the bestop trail cover only works with the top off or down, which isn't going to happen with this weather lately. Is that true? Any suggestions on a full cover that won't let a raging downpour through, will fit over the soft top and isn't outrageously expensive or hard to put on for one person?

The Mopar says it will fit over the top, but it doesn't extend over the doors like the bestop. :(

I suggest you give Bestop a call to be sure, but given its shape I see no reason why it wouldnt fit over the factory soft top.

When you get it in place on top, it has adjustable bands/loops to secure and tighten it to the underside of the rigs body, allowing you the extra size of the soft top.

The fabric material is so study and seamed, no chance of rain getting in.

Really? has anyone tried with the top on? The pdf instructions on quadratec specifically say that the top must be off and bows folded back to use the cab cover. I'll have to ask, as I'd rather have a cab cover than a full, but I need something quick that works better than the tarps so I'll take anything.

now you talk about the bows, you're right about the rear part. Looking at the pics, the cover runs down the rear rollbar at 45 degree angle, but the rear bows of soft-top are perpendicular.....sorry if got u excited.

Where about of roof does your soft-top leak ?

The Bestop will not work with the top up. It is also very hard to put on if you use a soft top boot. It also can leak if it rains hard enough long enough. Mine also bows down into the passenger compartment and that area fills with water making it very difficult to remove without first bailing it out. Dont get me wrong, I do like it but it is not without its problems.

Ah ok, gotchya. Anyone have a recommendation for a full cover that will keep the leaks out until someone comes up for a fix? And as for my JK, where doesn't it leak is the question. Leaks around the top, the doorhandles, the doors, etc. Tarps are getting to be a PITA so I am looking into a cover - if you read the leak threads here most dealers don't seem to be able to fix it. :(
