Default Rubicon Conversion

Just bought a new Wrangler X unlimited, and want to convert it to a Rubicon. I would have bought a Rubi, but I understand they are on restriction from Chrysler due to the rarity of the Dana 44 axels. Any help would be appreciated.

you will be able to buy the 44 front axle online, and the rear if you want both to be locked, along with the majority of everything else, you may just want to upgrade as you see fit though, you could make something much stronger than a rubi for not too much more.

Sure... go to 4wd.com and buy the front and rear rubicon axles.... pick up an electric sway bar disconnect, and you'll be on your way towards a rubicon.

I don't think my dealer pulled a fast one. I independently searched the five surrounding states and couldn't find one. As far as the options, It has everything available.

Rubicons are low in stock across the country. They're high in demand. Unfortunately, i'm sure 60% of the purchased ones will be lucky to see dirt.

Anyways, welcome to the forum. Make sure to check out your Region's section in The Staging area to meet other JK-ers from your neck of the woods!

According to Jeep.com Dave Smith Motors in Kellogg ID has 8 Rubicon Unlimiteds in inventory. Not sure how many are sold though.

A lot of times Jeep.com indicates there is a Rubicon in stock, but in fact it was a special order and for some reason it was not removed from the inventory. This might only happen here, but when I was looking for my JK, I called everyone in town that had a Rubicon listed and they all said the same thing.
