Default Rc x flex question.

Alright quick question, actually two questions. How tight should the joints be? Snug or tight? I don't want to overdue it. Second question how would one go about installing 4" coils on the ground? Seems like allot of jacking needs o be done lol. Thanks for any help..

The joints should be torqued to the specifications listed in the manual. In order to install the springs, you will need to put your Jeep on jack stands that are high enough to allow you to drop the axle enough to put in the springs.

If it were that easy....... The manual has no tourqe specifications. I checked, and thats a heck of alot of jacking to get those springs in. I was wondering if i could jack it up then stick a jack under one side to raise it and lower the other side.

Any other suggestions for getting the 4" coils in on the ground? Any help is appreciated. Also control arm lengths for the arms on a 4" lift?

Go to harbor freight and get a spring compressor, then jack up the end you are working on. As for the arm length, I'll measure mine in the morning.

The disconnect your brake lines, loosen trac bar and control arms and allow the axle to drop as low as possible. The body of the jeep has to be pretty high if you're doing it on the ground. I was able to get the coils in without a compressor with this method.

However, autozone and any other auto parts store will allow you to rent a compressor.
