Default Rock Krawler JK 5.5 X Factor Mid Arm System OR AEV 4.5"????????

Is anybody running the Rock Krawler JK 5.5 X Factor Mid Arm System and if so how do you like it?

I was set on the AEV 4.5 again since I know it will clear my 38's with ease and without chopping the fenders but I also know its overpriced for waht you actually get. I mosly do overlanding kind of stuff- Nevada Desert, Big Bear, Mammoth.

I was at Rebel today checking out all the sick rigs and know I can upgrade the Rock Crawler later if I wanted too. Its about 1k more for the Rock Crawler 5.5 Factor Mid Arm over the AEV and you obviously get a lot more for your money. Im tempted to go AEV for the simple fact I know it works with my wheel/tire combo.

I am interested to see if anyone is running the RK 5.5 and how they like the on road ride and handling? I would be ok with spending another G if it was worth it?

I have an AEV 4.5 with Rock Krawler arms & drag link with Moog tres. If had had to do it again, I would do all Rock Krawler or Poly Performance. AEV progressive springs and rear track bar relocate are the only valued parts. The drag link flip just uses the right hand drive Jeep OEM drag link with plastic non greasable tres. With RK, you have to buy bump stops and shocks separately but that's it.

Thanks brutha man, thats the info I was looking for. After today I am really leaning towards this kit instead of the AEV. Thank you for the input.

I have the aev lift with 3.5" springs and am upgrading to the 4.5" springs soon. I don't have an rk lift but I am sure that a 5.5" rk lift will give you a ton more of offroad capability. The aev, in my opinion, is the best for a 95% on road with 5% offroad like I currently do. Just my .02

I just had Rebel install a RK 3.5 Max Travel kit on my 2013 JKUR with 37 inch tires. It rides awesome on the road. Haven't had a chance to get it in the dirt yet. Totally worth the money.

Every kit can be upgraded down the road. The problem is that a 5 inch lift is pretty tall so you need to get everything at once.

Nice. What shocks did you go with?

I am going with his Kit without question. Smashboogie's price for the Kit with Bumpstops and Bilsteins, is barely more than an AEV. I am all over this kit.

Thanks guys!!!!!!!

I went with Fox 2.0 IFP's. Ride just as good as stock maybe better.
