Default Taking off rear seat belts

I knew there was something about not letting the seat belt ravel all the way when taking it off. But somehow I did. So now how do I get the seat belt to unravel to put it back on?

When I removed the seat belts to line the interior of my old Rubicon, I had to make sure the seat belt mechanism itself was level and then I was able to retract the seat belt. I would imagine the same principle applies here.

Thank you Markr !!! I feel kinda dumb and would love to get that hour of my life back. I read on other threads to be careful not to let it ravel, but it just needs to be level. I started to take it all apart and am glad you posted so quickly. Thank you!!!
