Default RR XHD Front Winch Bumper / Winch Recommendation?

I have a 2012 Jeep Rubicon and I recently purchased a Rugged Ridge XHD Winch Bumper.... and would like to get a recommendation on a winch...... I was looking to spend around $750... I was thinking of getting the WARN VR8000-s Winch.... Any feedback would be appreciated...

Xenakis43,

Warn Winches
are some of the best winches out there. They have been in the business for years and make a great product. Some things you want to look at are synthetic rope and the pulling strength. Depending on your Jeep you will want either the 8000lb or 10,000lb winch. For a 4-door you want a 10,000lb winch because of the extra weight they have, compared to the 2-door. You would only need an 8,000lb winch for one of those.

The synthetic winch line is great for a number of reasons. First off its much lighter than steel cable, which is always a plus with Jeeps. Second, it is a ton safer than steel, because it won't burr and stab you; also if it were to break, it won't whip around and possibly injure someone. Finally it won;t rust and corrode like steel cable will, so when you go to use it you know it will always be ready.

Smittybilt winches are also a great product, and for the price they can't be beat. I know a few people who have these and they work great. You can get an XRC 10 Comp Series winch with the synthetic line for around $630. Which is right in your price range and exactly what you will need.

Shoot me a PM if you have any questions or need any advice on winches!
