Default what is a good tire carrier

I have a 07 jeep rubicon that i am looking for a good rear bumper tire carrier. I would like it to be able to carry a 35 inch tire. I would also like to keep my drop hitch that i have already had installed on the jeep. I am getting the durango grizzley full bumper for the front. I looked at thier rear bumpers but couldnt find on that my hitch would work with. I was hopeing you guys would have some ideas. Thanks

Check out the mopar rear bumper and tire carrier. Retains factory hitch, has mounts for shackles, and comes with a replacement 3rd tail light. Look around you can find them on the internet for ~$950 shipped from various dealers online.

Default Warn rear bumper and tire carrier.

I have the Warn bumper which I bought for under 700.00. I purchased it right from the local Jeep dealership. It is a nice bumper but it does have a small quirk. The tire carrier latch is okay at best. It's a spring loaded pin that goes into a hole in the bumper. I have a 35" tire and an aluminum rim and it squeaks a little bit. It doesn't shake or vibrate that I notice but the latch setup would be way better if it were like the bullet proof bumper. I have that latch/bumper on my TJ and it gets beat up on every trail ride and still works as it were new.

If I were to do over again I would probably still choose the Mopar bumper again but I just thought I would give you the heads up on it. As far as the hitch goes, D_hawk is correct. You can keep your present setup and it is a geat looking bumper and easy to install. No drilling to mount it but there is minor drilling to attach the latch. I did also notice multiple sets of directions with some not requiring drilling. They had different part numbers but mine I guess was an earlier part number?

I will eventually modify my latch to a more positive locking latch.

When I was looking for a rear bumper I wanted one that wrapped the edges and protected the back of the Jeep. The only two bumpers I found were the Pure Jeep and the Mopar. I got the Mopar and LOVE it. The tire is tight on the bumper and I have no rattles. I did fill in the Jeep cutout on the corner. I then had it sprayed in Line X.

Not that I know of, but they could be easily modified to hold them. Do a search. There are a lot of guys that have added to both bumpers to hold extras.
