Default Anybody have the Evo drag link flip?? Need help with TB bracket

So the drag link part went flawlessly. The trackbar bracket on the other hand, was the biggest pain in the ass I've dealt with. I put it on and took it off 4 times and could not get the trackbar holes to line up to where I could actually mount the damn thing. The holes were off by maybe 1/8- 1/4" and the TB bolt wouldn't go all the way through because of this.

Anybody have this and have any insight on how to get it on straight. I understand the hole principal of it and how everything goes together, it's just slightly off and won't work. I'm going to give it one more shot tomorrow before I leave for Moab.

Any input is appreciated

I don't have that kit, but when installing my TB, I put the Jeep frame on jack stands and used a floor jack to move my axle up and down to the right alignment height.

Are you saying you can't get the bracket bolted to the axle?

The bracket on mine didn't quite line up either. Before tightening all the hardware down go ahead and stick you trackbar bolt through the two holes for it. Then tighten everything down. This should help keep everything in line so you can make the to fit.

I tried that actually. It still allows one side of the bracket to shift enough where I can only get the bolt through one side of the trackbar, whether it be the front hole or the back. I even tried to mount the trackbar while everything is loose, but then you can't get to the two bottom nuts to tight them as the trackbar covers them up.

I'm going to try installing the TB bracket, installing the TB on the bracket while leave the frame side out and then using a ratchet strap to get the frame side in. If it doesn't work I'm ordering the synergy one

Wasn't happy with the fit of mine either, ended up taking a grinder to it, trimed it up and made it sit properly.

I'm disappointed with how much of a pain this thing is. The way everything fits together and all these bolts on top of each other and inside the bracket is just a mess.

I should have gotten the synergy set up

I had the same problem... left everything loose so I could try and get the damn track bar bolt through the plate/trackbar/plate. After 15 mins of trying, I had a friend violently move the steering wheel back and forth like an enraged gorilla. Eventually the bolt went through everything while using an impact gun ;-)

Tightened it all up and I was amazed at how well it handles now.

I have the Teraflex 4" lift.

Now, I'm confused on what I need to mount my steering stabilizer the other way around. The way I have it bolted up now, it still touches the bracket at full passenger turn.

Cheers! ~ Paul.
